Review on Jura Ultra Compact Coffee Center by Douglas Cochrane

This is the best coffee machine I have ever used. It's small, works well, is easy to clean and looks good. But the surprisingly silly bean lid design makes me almost say don't buy it. A small plastic tab protrudes from the lid of the bean container. The machine will not operate unless this fragile protrusion is inserted into the slot on the rim of the hopper. There is a handle on the lid that should look nice but doesn't work. So it's easy to drop the cover when you take it off. The second time my lid fell off, it fell to the floor and the plastic tab broke off. zap The coffee machine does not brew coffee. I have found that if you remove the lid and insert a screwdriver into the slot, the coffee maker brews coffee. So I lived with a screwdriver sticking out of the cover while I waited a week for a $30 replacement part. Yura must fire the engineer who developed this locking mechanism. If there was anything else on the market that met my needs other than this A1 Ultra Compact, I would recommend it instead. But he isn't. Now I keep this screwdriver in my kitchen drawer in case it breaks next time.
