Review on πŸ–€ High-Performance Leatt GPX 2.0 Race HF Hydration Pack in Striking Red and Black by Matt Simpsons

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Good and bad for outdoor recreation

Leatt makes a lot of quality products and the intent here was the same, but it looks like the testing team didn't have enough time to do it before release. Pros: Sits very well in the back, very little movement, lots of storage when you use it for minimal transport like racing, easy to fill tank, very light and looks great. Cons: The buckles and belt clips are unique compared to the competition but don't have a clear advantage. I'm not sure why Leatt designed the adjustment of the upper and lower shoulder straps like every other backpack in the world. While the shoulder strap adjustment clips work, hot adjustment is not possible. The elastic chest straps are a bit odd. I'm OK with that because I feel like I can adjust them while riding and the rubber strap does the job for me now, but not being able to adjust the tension is different and I imagine the straps would wear out after sufficient sun exposure lose their elasticity and sweat. . The two chest buckles are pretty easy to use but don't feel very secure. Finally, the bite valve does not flow at a rate sufficient for rapid hydration as required during racing. With some tweaks, this would have been a great hydration pack, but for the price, Leatt should have taken it to the next level.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • A little wrinkled
