This belt has a ratchet closure which means it is smaller than a traditional belt buckle with a thorn in the hole. This particular harness has more of a lever release than the lifting buckle that is easier to use, but even if you get used to it, it is easy to use even if IMO is inferior in performance compared to the lifting buckle release. This belt has a certain disadvantage. a huge size range and those are those with a smaller waist that end up with long bitter ends after ratchet adjustment. I'll take a size 36 belt, but I'm actually a 34-35 waist size, so it's going to be a long, bitter end. This end is below the waistline of the pinned end, which means that in order to tie the belt tight, I have to suck in my stomach, pull out the bitter end, pull, tuck in the bitter end, and then exhale again. It's not difficult, but definitely annoying when you have to do it all the time. Also, the holder floats, so it's very tiring for me to get the pointed end through the holder while wearing my seat belt. To make matters worse, the holder falls out when the belt is removed from the trouser loop. Finally, tightening the strap is uncomfortable when I suck in my stomach, but doable and becomes second nature after a few rehearsals. All these shortcomings are annoying at first, but gradually become a habit after a few days of wearing, so I'm not seriously lowering the rating. belt because of them. While that's fine, one-size-fits-all isn't a good idea, but it does mean you'll get a good fit if you're not tiny or huge. A buckle with a pointed end at the top would have given them an easy five stars, but as things stand, four. .
