What I like about this bike rack is that it can handle wider handlebars than almost all of the other racks. I also like its clean design and simplicity. It also seems sufficiently sturdy. How could it improve? Two ways: 1. Its mounting bracket assumes you put three screws into the side of a 2x4 stud, which requires perfect alignment - easier said than done when the stud is hidden behind drywall and you need almost 2" of wood. But as most people know, a "2X4" isn't really 2" wide, it's more like 1 and 3/4th" wide, so its very likely that not all 3 screws will find good wood in the side of one hidden 2X4. Also, the rubber cushions for the bike frame have sort of multiple fingers, I assume so as to work with a multiple of frame widths. Sounds good in theory, but I found them problematic when trying to lift and properly place a bike onto the frame, since the fingers kind of get in the way and challenge your ideal placement. I think a simpler U shaped rubber cushion design would work better. All that said, after researching this rack and several competing products, I still think this is the best one, especially for wider bikes. I bought 2 of them and would not hesitate to buy another should I ever add a 3rd bike.
