I liked them at first but they got mold very easily

I liked these things until I realized they smelled like mold even after washing. I hang them on a rack to dry after each use so I thought they were ok but now I can't get rid of the smell even after washing several times with vinegar. I wash once a week so before washing I used each of them about 3 times. My theory is that if you don't fully dry them by laying them out (like on hooks or something) they will mold, and once they mold they just stay there forever. These things absorb water incredibly well.
