I bought these sets for my 5 year old to try as the bag says they are for 5+ and they do a lot were cheaper than Lego Friends, which she mostly builds herself. However, squeezing these bricks together requires a lot of pressure, which she can't do herself. An adult will have to help and your fingers will hurt. We find they hold together better than Lego bricks as they are also difficult to take apart. And you MUST take them apart as it seems the included models cannot be assembled at the same time. The bag advertises over 10 model ideas, but you can only build 8 with this bag alone - all other models require the purchase of additional bags. There are 8 models in the app and 2 in the attached brochure, but these 2 are copies of the models in the app (blue alligator and turtle). As for the app, we find it awkward to use. It takes 2-3 swipes per step (like a weird flip book animation) which is totally unnecessary and sometimes confusing. Also, you don't even get the benefits of using a tablet, such as: B. zooming or rotating the model. It's really just a flip book in an app. The instructions in the brochure were much easier to follow. It has some nice unique details and the price per stone is cheap but we probably won't buy this brand again.
