Overall I think they sound great and are definitely worth the price. UPDATE: After a few months, I still LOVE their headphones. They continue to work well and sound better than anything else I've tried. I use them when riding a noise-cancelling bike to muffle car noise from the highway bike lane. The lowering is good enough that I could hear the details of the music when driving alongside traffic.
