It was so easy to install even my mom could do it. The fit was a bit tight, but a few strokes of a file to widen the mounting hole cleaned it up a bit, and I'd rather have a tight fit than a loose one. The design of this item so that the plug can be plugged in either way is the best innovation in the USB 2 connector I've seen. Whoever came up with this idea is great and I applaud you! Also, it was the only dash mounted USB I could find that supports fast charging on both ports, another congratulations to the designer! The only drawback is the backlight. One of the reasons I chose this particular one is because the seller responded to a question from someone about the light that it doesn't stay on all the time. Unfortunately, the device I received is constantly lit and somewhat disturbing at night as it is quite bright. If there was an unlit version, I would choose it. I love everything about this item except that darn light (which only gave me 4 stars) so I don't want to open the dashboard. again, I may have to trade this in order to have one that doesn't burn all the time. I will check with the seller that it should only burn during use before returning it for a replacement and will update my review with the seller's reply. I will update this rating when I get a replacement and will happily change it to 5 stars if the new unit doesn't shine all the time. The replacement is off all the time, my updated review will be even more free.
