Great scale! fits digital scale

Here are my first thoughts on Renpho Smart Nutrition Scale. I have a Renpho smart bathroom scale which is amazing! So I was very excited at the prospect of having a scale with an app that measures and calculates my calories right on my phone. These are my honest thoughts. Appearance: 9/10 - This scale was slightly larger than other food scales I've used, but still doesn't have a large footprint - 6.5 x 9 inches. The stainless steel appearance was very sleek and smooth. You can see in the picture, reflective. It's very easy to clean. It also has a backlit display, which is an important feature that some other scales overlook. At 1.5 pounds they seem heavier than other weights I've owned, but are also stronger at the same time. I don't think it's easy to damage and I can put large bowls/plates on it without covering the display. It can hold up to 11 pounds which is awesome! The keys are smooth and you only need to rest your finger on the key. No pressure. It measures more weight than I've seen before (oz, lbs, g, ml, fl oz). Setup: 10/10 - Setting up the actual weights was pretty easy. Remove the battery tab and you're done. Application: 5/10. The app that accompanies this scale felt a bit intrusive. Required personal information (name, extension, etc.) before proceeding with registration. I couldn't miss it, so if you want you can put dummy information here. If you're currently using an app to track your groceries, you're going to need to learn, and the app is probably a bit clunky and not very intuitive. Be sure to read the instructions on this scale, they are very simple and will save you time. The app determines your daily calorie range based on your setting information. I couldn't change that, which would be helpful. If you set a weight goal in the Lose Weight section, you can only track short-term weight loss goals. There are also "Stay Fit" and "Gain Weight/Muscle" options. All target options are short-term, a maximum of 10 weeks is the maximum you can expect. Most likely, you will have to add products from your favorite brand, but as soon as they are ready. This is common when launching such applications as they rely on user input to create their databases. It's possible to add groceries when you're not near the scale, but you need to know the item's weight or calories to enter it accurately. This is the main disadvantage of this application. The results are based on a weight of 100 grams, which doesn't translate well to ounces for the average user. It would be nice to be able to add 1 egg or 1 slice of wheat bread. The journal report is a really nice feature and feels good. There's also a coffee maker feature that helps track brew time, water-to-coffee ratio, etc. I haven't used this feature but wanted to mention it as I've never seen it on a food tracking app. love this scale. If you're just buying for the scale, it looks and feels well built, but the app has room for improvement. Based on what I've seen with bathroom scales, I'm sure there will be software updates to improve some of the features, so I'll update my review when that happens.
