This MacBook Pro dongle/hub is the best I've tried for using multiple devices. I've tried about 6 different dongles for a new Mac with USB-C and this is by far the most versatile. While some reviewers note that you need to plug in a charger to power the adapter to use all slots, I found that wasn't necessary, even if you have both USB 3.0 ports, an SD card port, and use a USB-C connector. The area I have the most trouble with various dongles is connecting to a Logitech Unifying USB receiver. This is one of the main reasons I needed the dongle, and while most lag when using the Logitech receiver with another device, it doesn't miss a second. If you need a hub for multiple devices (minus an external display via VGA/HDMI) this is the best adapter.
