Review on 🔊 Flowmaster 2.5 Inch Inlet/Outlet 40 Series Df Muffler (Model 942540) by William Fowler

I bought this muffler for my 2001 Jeep Wrangler to replace the muffler on my aftermarket Banks Monster exhaust. My old muffler lost all of its packaging after a few years and it was banging loudly inside. My guess is that the muffler burned out because it sits right behind the catalytic converter and had too much heat for it. The Flowmaster is a chambered silencer (no fill to burn out) so I'm not worried about it getting louder over time. The sound is good, not too loud, but you can definitely hear it indoors, although once you pick up speed in the convertible everything is loud. If I had a hardtop I might go with the 50 series
