I've tried a few different fairly inexpensive hard cases that have wrapped tightly around my Samsung Galaxy E5. One was fine until the plastic clasp broke from fatigue. It seemed like an essential design element, so I had to replace it every few months. The next had a soft back that needed to fit snugly, while the hard front had sides that wrapped around the sides of the phone. This seemed to work better, but some plastic at the bottom of the padded back prevented it from working properly. I ended up having to remove the back panel to access the SIM card and storage ports, and attempt to remove the battery, which was always the only way to get rid of some of the hard freezes. After the Heck almost died. Also, holster pouches with belt handles have never been secure enough. The palm met his forehead. When I was 20, I had a cool hippie belt bag. After a bit of digging I found this one that works great. Protects the phone well in the inner pocket. I don't have any of the problems that some others have described. The phone slides in and out easily. I'm SOOO glad I changed my strategy! That dampens the call a bit. If I'm under a phone that's operating another device, or even in a noisy environment, I may miss text. When the phone is in silent mode, I might miss some muffled vibrations. Muting and damping is probably part of the concept of a spacious housing, but is slightly annoying, hence 4, not 5.
