These are the best, they open and close much faster and more accurately than Autozone, Napa etc. I ran an experiment and used this, one from Autozone and one from Oreilly - I put them in a saucepan of boiling water and checked with a thermometer at what temperature each one opens. While all three were supposed to open at 195°F, only the stant opened anywhere near that number. The other two opened closer to 170*F. When I turned off the fire on the stove, the stent also closed first. I repeated this several times and the result was always the same. Why is it important? The engine (and its computer) want it to run at a certain temperature. Too cold and it will be a lot less economical! It's too hot and, well, it's called overheating and it's not bueno.
