Received my three-pack. Velcro in back holds well, they cover my ears, neck and half- face well. They are thin but that's probably a good thing since I don't like items too heavy around my neck.for example, wool scarves make my neck sweat so then I have to remove or loosen them anyway. I can pack a second one of these in my pocket when i ski, they bunch up pocket-sized. So far these seem warm enough. The vent looking thing on the cheek is just a design. Mine also smelled like glue but only at first, it's going away. Great deal. I could not yet speak to long term durability, but I am not concerned at 8.99 for 3 of them.
