The grill press has tiny grooves
These 2 items I bought for my Blackstone are good; except that the grill press has ridges that make it difficult to clean. The lid holds the heat well and makes it easy to melt the cheese. I didn't know (or missed it in the description) that the press isn't flat or I wouldn't have bought this particular one.
