I bought this because I was angry! I'm so sick of spending $100 on an electric vacuum cleaner that gets clogged and stops working every 6 months. You can't take them apart to fix them because they have special screws. So I decided on a mechanical one. Rubbermaid has always been known for the quality of its products. This is no exception. It's classified as commercial, which is even better. Cleans better than my old electric vacuum cleaner. I can put it in a corner and take it out for a quick clean. It adapts well from carpet to parquet without manual adjustment. We have two long haired humans and two old haired cats in our home. Great hair lift. Was surprised at how much he picked up that the vacuum missed. Feel free to buy it. You will not regret it. Very quiet if you like cleaning while others sleep. Don't run after a broom and dustpan. No bend. Empty the tray into the waist-level trash can. No filters need to be replaced. Most grooming consists of removing the hair from the comb. There is a special comb for this.
