I have bought and used several different types of shaving brushes including boar bristle and the best badger hair. That was my first synthetic. I have to admit that I was pleasantly surprised when I ventured into purchasing this brush. The brush picks up quite a bit of water and, even after shaking, releases just the right amount to create leather. I use less soap and get richer lathers faster and easier than with any other. It's very soft on the face but has enough firmness to lift the hair and get the job done. No strange smell or anything like traditional brushes. I would definitely recommend this brush to others or even buy it as a gift for a wet razor. I definitely think you get value for money too, especially when compared to the prices of various other synthetics that I have yet to try.
