Picked this up on a laptop. PC Monitor: Acer Aspire Model Number: V5-572G-53336 G50aii Operating System: The notebook was functioning normally. Disk management and Acronis Disk Director both failed to erase two of the four partitions despite repeated attempts. Instinct told me that I would require a manufacturer-supplied utility to complete the initial disk setup. Ok, so I checked out Toshiba's online portal. Those that have a need for it: Software for Aligning Partitions on Toshiba PAT Advanced Format Disks. Eu/cms/ru/support_services/advanced_format.Html In my opinion, communicating with the disk must be done through Windows mechanisms, and all desired speeds must be attained by hardware rather than additional software. I feel bad for people who shop in stores and don't get their pieces aligned, but now I have to figure out how to send everything back. There is no speed unit in there at all.
