Bought a Tello with controller so my 7 year old and I can fly indoors. We have a Spark but I'm afraid of flying it in and Tello is a safer and cheaper toy not to fall over. It was very easy to get airborne; The app works very well and the controller is a good way to control it. Bluetooth has the least lag when using the controller, but responsive enough my 7 year old flies it with no problems. The Tello is so stable that we had no problems flying indoors. We fly it up and down stairs and into the kitchen when mom is cooking dinner (which doesn't make her happy). The camera isn't bad, good enough to take photos and some videos, but nothing special. We haven't really tested the range outdoors, but I know he doesn't like flying in wind at all, which makes sense given his size and weight. This weekend we brought him to our friends house and they have four children. They took turns flying around on it and then bouncing off the wall several times. Most of the time it just bounced off the wall, but a couple of times they managed to hit the corner of the wall or something, causing the drone to tip over and it falling to the wooden floor at a height of 5-7 feet. This broke the propeller guard, although it continued to function, and the propellers and battery pack alternately popped out. Simply putting them back on was enough to get the Tello airborne again with no ill effects. The child tested it, the father approved it. Overall, I really like this little quadcopter; This is a great first drone and fun to fly indoors and in small areas. I would definitely buy another one if we ever kill this one.
