When I unpacked this I was a bit disappointed. The branches are literally made of duct tape, the flowers are made of plastic. Plus (that's my fault) but I didn't really like the white (there's pink too). However, when I split the branches to form a tree, it began to grow on me. It felt like I was helping shape the tree. You can either plug it in or put batteries in it. I decided to plug it in and it was two takes. Bright and dark. I like the muted mode. Once you've got it attached, it actually relaxes a bit from afar. I assume the light is on a timer. I fell asleep and realized it was over. So I think it's good especially if you use batteries. Now it's the first thing I do when I walk into a room. It's just fun and it's one of my favorite things now. I think it will be a great gift for yourself or a friend. Anyway I would recommend paying the extra money and getting the pink one, it will look more like cherry blossom.
