Although the label says dry clean or hand wash, they can be machine washed inside out, simply wash in cold water and do not over dry. (I got this information from others who have reviewed this shirt and machines vary so proceed as you like). I ordered 6 for my grandson he was very big on him. (He usually wears a size 5/6.) He likes the colors and designs and doesn't remember trying it on so it's going to be a Christmas present and should fit him a bit better by then. The fabric is silky soft and seems very comfortable.
