First of all, I'm a professional chef. I really don't understand the low ratings for this set, they are very stylish and work really well. No, they don't give a Heart Attack spice level, and they shouldn't. Buy extra fine salt for them first, it works much better, and use ground pepper. I don't see a problem with the hole size. Your food needs some proper seasoning before it even hits the table anyway, the salt and pepper shakers on the table are for SMALL adjustments which they deliver perfectly. They are easy to clean, I hand wash them and let them dry completely, I don't put them in the dishwasher. If you don't go to the store and shop, then expect to eventually get something completely different than what you wanted. To be honest I don't understand the need to go online and complain in Review, just send it back. We already made it so you don't have to put down your oily mascara to get it. Some people just have to complain I think.
