Very easy to use as the solid base stays firmly on the worktop. Hold with one hand and turn the handle with the other. Because you can make full revolutions with the handle, productivity is very high (as opposed to the partial revolutions of a traditional pepper mill). I use this when I need a larger batch of freshly ground pepper for recipes. A traditional pepper mill is used daily for peppers on plates. The degree of grinding, from powder to coarse, is very easy to adjust. Simply pull back the spring holding the dial and turn it to the desired grind level. To load, simply turn on its side with the opening facing up (cup facing down) and inflate the peppercorns.
