Review on Tripp Lite Outlet Office TLM615NC20 by Savanna Wilson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Expensive, worth every penny

Most power strips are pretty anemic; Even though they're rated for 15 amps, you kinda overpower them when you go that far. This strip actually has a proper 20 amp power plug (a prong rotated 90 degrees) so you can only plug it into 20 amp rated outlets. Once that's done, the sockets on them become very heavy and you can do some serious work without worrying about the components getting hot or otherwise causing an impending failure. In cases where you are using power tools, even if they are rated for less than 15 amps, this is better than a regular strip as you have less voltage drop and are working a little further from the maximum. Device Ratings. The included power switch and breaker are nice touches, and I really like the long, long cord: 15 feet! (Manufacturers beware. Six feet isn't always enough. Please offer that length as an option.) The unit comes with a lifetime warranty and I think that tells you something about how it's built - the manufacturer expects it not can damage the item under normal use. Kind of like this 30.60 day guarantee on these cheap imports. cheap.
