Constant reboots at night and ignoring detection zones

During the day it's great. The FOV is closer to what non-AI cameras have (MUCH better than the 820a with terrible vertical FOV). I love the AI parts, especially the latest firmware where you can adjust motion, people, and vehicle sensitivity separately, as well as "minimum" object sizes for people and vehicles. Unfortunately, that's where the pros end. Once the night vision LED is on, the device will restart as soon as it detects movement. This reboot takes almost 2 minutes - until then there is no movement. Literally useless at night. Reolink support and technicians watched my live stream, saw the problem and have no idea what the problem is. This happens with my two 822a cameras that were bought at different times. I'm not sure if the replacement will be different. ALL AI cameras have an issue where masked areas still start recording when there is motion. This has been a problem since the release of these AI cameras almost a year ago and they haven't been able to fix it yet. Your non-AI cameras don't have this problem at all. At the moment I also have no confidence that they will solve this problem. They're already testing Spotlight cameras, and it seems pretty obvious that they're focusing on that all the time, rather than fixing bugs in their existing products. The bugs reported during beta testing are no less. Giving support and engineers 1 more week to get my cameras working at least at night before I return them and go back to my 520 (non-AI version) which worked perfectly 24/7.

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
