My hair is shoulder length, straight and fine to medium textured. I was skeptical about this set but I really like this system. The brush heads are very light so they stay in my hair when I take the handle off. The grip clicks and the barrel is flawless. I could see that with very thick/curly hair this might not be the best option as the bristles are relatively short and very flexible, but for me this is perfect. I get a lot of volume without having to wait to move on to the next section, just like with a regular comb. Update: a year has passed and I use this brushing system almost every day - still great!
