After reading some negative reviews here and on the Vitamix website, I explained that the dislikes were mostly minor issues. I decided to buy it at another big retail store as it was thirty dollars cheaper. Anyway I haven't had any major issues with this product and love it. I haven't had any issues with spills, leaks, or messes. I tapped the bottom of the can before unscrewing the blade to make sure the liquids didn't spill all over the place. Not a single drop was spilled. My advice when adding ingredients is to add the frozen fruit last, closest to the blade. I had to stop and shake the jar several times to get the fruit (which I added first) onto the blade. Pros: Perfect size for 1 serving Easy to use Easy to clean Fits under cupboards Can be mixed and drunk from the same can Cons: The can is very thick so it looks big but is small inside. You have to align the adapter perfectly, that's not a problem for me but maybe for someone else. All in all, this is the perfect article for me. I make smoothies for my husband and I every morning, but he hasn't been eating breakfast lately and I don't want to dirty the glass just for me. This allows me to mix and drink from the same can, making cleanup a lot easier.
