I am a total manicure lover. But I'm in love with the gel manicure and pedicure from the local salon. For a price a bit higher than the price of a single treatment I thought I'd give it a try. I just used it for the first time and I love the result. I'm curious how well they wear. And besides, the kit really had almost everything you need. The only thing I would add is a cleaning brush. My fingers don't seem to heat up enough to create a color changing effect. The base and top coat were very easy to use, the color was a bit thick and didn't easily float to the sides of the nail. But I've heard that liquid gels can flood the cuticles and then shrink them. So I think it's a balance. I only used one color from the set, maybe it's just the heat formula that's so thick. I'm working on a wear test but I can't wait to try other colors so maybe I won't. So far the 4th day (5 days of wear) is still intact and shiny. Some of the gel on the underside of the tips came off in the shower and came loose. That's probably partly because I don't know how to apply loofah and it was quite thick under the tips. I really enjoy watching the color change throughout the day.
