I think the real deal. According to the website, Qualcomm has invested heavily in this company. From what I've seen, the app is no longer supported on the latest iOS. With the latest iPhone iOS there were no error messages and no error messages when plugging in the charger and charging works. Haven't tried it on an iPad or app yet, but I expect great results. I've checked the app and don't see anything to worry about - it's from a different country, but that's about it, and a lot of good products do. Toyota, Honda, Sony, Samsung, etc. It eliminates noise and delivers clearer sound than iPhone microphone. I love treating useful things like this. If you need to record scratch vocals or even sustained vocals right on your iOS device, this is literally perfect, and charging makes it even better than Shure. I have a long Apple charging cable and will put the headphones in a bag so I can record vocals when inspiration strikes. This is great for creating and producing music using apps like GarageBand and the like and should also be useful for anyone using apps like Bars (rap app), Bandcamp and/or making videos. It's basically like an interface with a sound card / like a sound card if you're familiar. Now you can include vocals in your projects without having to think about workarounds (lowering the volume, etc.) or having to stream music through the vocal channel while the device is charging or while it's charging. Undoubtedly there are many more uses than I have explained. Its "body" sticks around and under the device when it doesn't have a case because it has a gasket and you may have to remove the case, but I didn't. Feel free to buy and enjoy this wonderful product from Palovue. The headphone jack worked great for monitoring while recording. He reports that its frequency response is higher than that of the Lightning mic that seems to have inspired him (iOS music and recording connoisseurs will know which).
