Used 3 months, abandoned

Not recommended. I'm a student and I've been tasked with recording lectures by professors and uploading them for others to listen to later. I used another voice recorder for about a year, but then I accidentally left it in my bag and washed my clothes. So I bought this. 3 months later I finally gave up and threw it away. Here are the problems: 1. It can only record in .wav format, which means the files are large. a two-hour lecture is only 200MB of data. Not that big of a problem, but annoying. I started converting them all to .mp3 format which helped but they are still very large files.2. It cannot set the timestamps correctly. Several students have reported to me that if they try to move forward or backward while a recording is playing, it randomly skips and they lose their place. This was never a problem until I started using this recorder.3. The screen "tilts" about 50% of the time. It's a little hard to explain, but if you imagine that on the screen a vertical line separates the sides, it turns out that the left and right parts of the screen are swapped. You can handle it, but it's tricky, especially when trying to reset the date, which brings me to point 4.4. The time and date settings are reset randomly. This happens about every 2 weeks or so. Annoying because the filenames are time and date and if you don't catch the day it takes a long time to figure it out.5. I saved the worst for last. Twice I accidentally deleted files by turning off the voice recorder instead of turning off the "Record" switch. There are two counters, one on the left and one directly across from him on the right. If you have a 2 hour recording and accidentally turned off the power instead of the "Record" switch, then goodbye recording. This should be saved automatically if the power fails after a write operation. So I finally got fed up with this low quality Chinese junk and threw it away. It gets 2 stars because it records sound. That's it.
