I've bought other versions of these that are made out of soft plastic and I don't like them as pressure cookers but decent sized bowls with vented lids. I remove excess parts of the pressure cooker and throw them away, so I don't know if it can really work as a slow cooker or not. This eco-friendly version is a brittle material, however, and during the last reheat of leftovers, the bowl actually cracked from the bottom up. So if you are heating something in it I would recommend inspecting it very carefully before removing it from the microwave to make sure it is not damaged and you are not burning yourself on escaping hot food. I've never had a problem with the regular red and white soft plastic versions. They usually wear out after a few years, which is to be expected with something made out of soft plastic.
