Soft, durable in quilts

I bought these instead of real down so I can wash them multiple times. With real down, most need to be dry cleaned. I have washed them several times and they are very durable. It's soft and light enough not to feel suffocating or to be under a heavy blanket. It's not as light and airy as real down, but it's definitely a good substitute if you want something durable that can be washed multiple times at home. After unpacking and during the drying process, place the duvet in the wool ball dryer at any time after washing. It really helps. I bought 2 twin beds that we use on our queen bed (one for me, one for my husband) because he turns and turns the comforters and the sheets lift and turn. We use this with a sheet duvet cover and it has 6 loops for 6 ties not just 4. This does a great job of preventing the duvet from sticking together in the cover. The single beds are too big for a queen bed side by side (so for our queen bed I fold them in half and put them side by side). If you have a king bed, it would probably be PERFECT if it could be folded in half. Double sizes are also ideal for washing at home in the washing machine. In Europe they often make their bed this way, and each person has their own duvet and duvet cover (not a big single duvet for the bed). Having a duvet cover and duvet cover makes our life easier because now I can't get off the top sheet, everything is ruined every night because that's how my husband sleeps. Even making the bed without a top sheet is much faster and easier, and the duvet cover can be washed as often as you like, just like a sheet set. It's fun to be able to change the style of duvet covers instead of having to buy multiple duvets! Suffice it to say. It's a MUCH more practical way of life and makes life easier. There are stores at Revain that only sell sheets (fitted sheets only), eliminating the need to buy both top and bottom sheets when using duvet covers. The vast majority of duvet covers come with matching pillowcases. I can get rid of a few comforters, comforters and top sheets in my house and just use duvet covers and change them according to the season/style instead of using/keeping multiple sets of comforters. Also the easiest way to keep a "bed made" daily. For the EASIEST way to put on a duvet cover, first turn the duvet cover inside out. 2nd: Place a blanket over it when the cover is turned inside out. Tie the bottom and side ties to the duvet. 3rd: Tie the top corners to the blanket. 4th: Turn the duvet inside out/turn the duvet right side out. You can now close the duvet cover with a zipper or button after tying the bodice to the duvet cover.
