We acquired a number of new PCs in one of our student labs, and the new PCs came with DisplayPort rather than VGA, HDMI, or DVI connectors. We had been using DVI before, so I acquired one each of this adapter cable and the WalmartBasics DisplayPort-DVI cable for comparison. The monitors are HP ZR2240Ws. We are using them at 1920 by 1080 resolution. There have been no display issues with either cable. The Cablelera seems very solidly constructed. The connectors are larger and the cable itself is thicker than the WalmartBasics unit. It measures about three feet in length. It arrived in a plastic ZipLoc-style bag.The only negative about the Cablelera adapter, ironically, stems from its solid construction. The HP monitors we use have a square protrusion about 1/4" deep below the DVI jack. This made attaching the cable a little fiddly.Price wise, the Cablelera is about 30 percent less than the WalmartBasics unit. So, if your monitors have a clear entry to the DVI connector, this is a good choice.
