Review on 🀩 Unleash Your Inner Sith Lord with LEGO Darth Vader Transformation Building Set by Frank Chinchilla

Better than I expected but I wasn't expecting too much

I've been looking at this for a while and never really cared until I saw it on the Cyber Monday sale at a price the I couldn't refuse. Basically it's just a small scene, well done for what it is, but rather limited in scope and play value. I think the problem is that while the morph and helmet functions work fine, once you've transformed your beautifully printed and detailed, burned and cut Darth Vader into a Vader suit and attached his helmet, all you have to do is... get angry at Padme and send the droids flying. The droids are good looking and pretty well built to handle. But what then? After going through all the features with this location, there isn't much left to do. It could make a good infirmary once transformed, but the set itself is quite large and awkwardly shaped, so incorporating it into further adventures will be a bit difficult. It's nice that it comes with droids and an exclusive set of Vader figures, but there's not much more to dig into. I think this works best on its own as a small display, or as part of a fairly large stage that will fit a large infirmary (maybe with some extra detail). I definitely wouldn't pay the retail price for it, but if you can pick it up at a significant discount, that's pretty cool.
