Although I didn't give 5 stars this is a really good leash. I didn't expect climbing ropes to wear out easily, but there are a few small tensions on the surface of the rope, but I doubt this will affect the rope's function, it's just cosmetic. There is a small chunk of foam on the handle and both problems started within the first two months of use. I would venture a guess that both are probably from our new boxer pup. Keeping your teeth off things has its own problems! However, I don't expect the leash to be damaged that easily.
