I have installed two pairs of these 5070 front and 4001-XT rear on my 2020 Ram 1500 Rebel. I cut out the caps with a sharp utility knife, which works very well. Cut about 1/8 inch inside the factory front peg pockets. Had to cut out part of the comforter where it goes into the peg pocket on the back. After installing the first one and only slightly tightening the screws, I noticed that the plastic bed cover gave under pressure. I didn't like that, so I put spacers on all four corners, which were just pieces I cut from the part of the quilt I removed earlier, between the comforters and the bed. Now that I've tightened the screws, the bed end caps aren't wrinkled. They look great and work! Oh, and a note: don't over-tighten the screws. The pair I installed on my last truck snapped because I overtightened the bolts.
