Not Scary But Not Good

This applies to Lewis Ice Packs Only: The dimensions of the bag used are approx. Total length including flap is 11.25 inches or 28.6 cm), so it doesn't matter how you use it measures, this is NOT a 12 inch bag. It's designed flat (which is odd for a bag designed to store volume), but when filled with ice has an approximate volume of 33.4 cubic inches (547.3 cubic centimeters or milliliters). The less solid ice there is in the bag initially, the easier it will be to break it up into smaller pieces.) The material is like a strong, heavy cotton canvas that should hold up well to rough handling, but the seams along the edges of the bag are poor quality (simple single open seams) and likely oh, will eventually rip long before the material fails. A flat seam or welted seam would have made the edge of the bag more durable, or even a simple double seam would have made the bag a little better suited for its purpose. so that the bag does not want to remain closed during use. Actually, you could use a velcro/button/snap to keep it closed during use, but that's no big deal. just an inconvenience. There are definitely better bags out there for less money. Assuming you don't mind repairing the stitching when they eventually fail, or if you expect only light occasional use, the price seems high (i.e. more labor (fairly estimated time/effort) and materials to make it). your own unique bag than what they charge for it, although the price for a simple mass-produced bag is high). Just don't expect a bag to last years without maintenance. Personally, I don't mind fixing it if it eventually breaks, and I don't want to spend a lot of time looking for canvas bags (plus I love that it's the perfect size to fit the mini chopping board hold that I have), so I just sew the velcro to the zipper flap and leave it for casual use.
