It's great, small, easy to hide, just what I need. My only issue and the reason I gave it a rating below 5 stars is that it has a very obnoxious static tone that I can't get rid of. What I record is very quiet, so noise cancels it out. However, it can record from a very long distance and pick up sounds from vehicles almost a mile from my house. So if you are planning to record louder stuff this might be perfect for you, you might still need some kind of audio editing software. If you just want to use it for note-taking or something like that, it probably won't need any software at all, since it's in my hands, it records itself, it works perfectly, and my own voice reduces any interference.
