quick disconnects do not leak. So if you frequently change hoses, like I do for my irrigation system, you can be assured of a secure fit that doesn't flow. In addition, the lever/valve size is perfect for quick on/off switching. My old ones, I had to hold the hose to get enough leverage to turn the lever.
