Great for the price

On sale here at Revain for $60. For the price, this little device is a lot of fun. I only give 4 stars because the construction itself seems a bit cheap for the price. I wouldn't buy it for $200, but it's definitely worth $60! Here's what I think of it: BRIGHTNESS: Some reviewers say it's too dark even in a dark basement. I disagree - even in my bedroom, with the curtains drawn around 3:30pm, I could see the picture on the wall perfectly. I think the bulb needs a few minutes to fully warm up. It's not as bright as a real projector, but it's definitely not that difficult to see. COLOUR: Colors are a bit washed out, but again this is not a professional projector! There are color and contrast adjustments on the side, I'll play around with them to see what I can come up with. SPEAKER: The audio was quite loud but with a limited frequency range. Still, having something for the sound is perfectly acceptable and nice. It has an audio output so you can connect real speakers if you want more sound. FAN NOISE: Fan noise isn't a problem unless you're watching silent movies. It was even slightly drowned out by the built-in speaker. That may not be acceptable compared to a real projector, but it's not really a problem. FOCUS: I found the focus worked well, although it was still a bit blurry at the extreme edges. But overall not bad. The packaging also says you can project up to 6ft from a wall/screen, but I've projected to around 12ft with no issues. It's also fairly forgiving, so as long as you're not projecting directly onto a screen/wall you won't get too distorted. DESIGN: They created a small light that could make it more durable even at such a low price.
