When I decided to buy a juicer, I started looking. There are two types - centrifugal and chewing. For nutrient retention, I opted for chewing. I wanted to get the best juicer for the least amount of money so I started my search by reading Revain reviews. I started with the good, but I also prepared the bad and the ugly. I finally came across the Ventray juicer and the first two reviews convinced me. As well as a 5 year warranty which is outrageous at this price point (so I'll save you time if you're looking for guarantees). This thing is AMAZEBALLS! I assembled it the night I got it (it took me about 3 minutes and some of that time was spent washing the plastic parts with hot water). This juicer only requires "big" parts to assemble and is VERY easy to put together. You can tell by the feel of the plastic and the augur (heavy, solid) that this is a quality juicer. This is where it got interesting. I made my first juice! I added cucumbers, mint, spinach, some organic carrots, a tangerine, some turmeric, some fresh ginger, a green apple, celery and some blackberries. I cut the apple into quarters, the cucumber into 2-inch pieces, and alternated between flaky and chunky fillings. This juicer is a workhorse. It is slow and steady with very little juice remaining in the pulp. There is a spout for juice and a spout for pulp. Everything is very simple, no splashes and other things. And when it's time to clean up, this part is easy too! Some hot water and about 3 minutes and you're done! I am very impressed with this item. I can't recommend it enough - it's worth every penny and then some. I am very, very happy with my choice!
