Plastic between vinyl and backing?!?

I used several colors for the mailbox and it turned out great. However, when I went weeding my new project, this plastic was between the vinyl and the backing. Totally messed up my project as I couldn't weed it properly. I don't know how many leaves are left. But I am very disappointed

I like this vinyl better than cricut brand vinyl. Easy to peel and works good in my cricut.
