My Canon PowerShot Elf 770 broke (lens wouldn't open) just a week before my trip to India and Nepal, so I ordered this. It didn't come with a memory card so it was an extra expense but the price for the camera was great It uses a micro memory card so none of the other memory cards I've used with my other Elf will work and neither will the batteries , as this one uses rechargeable lithium. Other than that it's a great little camera. I took about 1500 shots, many of which I used at the max zoom for birds and animals in Chitwan National Park or the Ghats along the Ganges. They were not grainy or washed out like my old elf.The stabilizer is awesome!I even got some great photos when I was with tuk tuks And rode rickshaws through the crazy Indian traffic. I usually carry both the Canon Rebel and Elf with me, but I wanted to keep the packaging to a minimum. I do not regret it.
