Great idea but it just didn't work for my scarves - I decided to hang some hooks on the side of one of my closets and it works much better. The main problem isn't the item, it's that if you have a metal clothes rail (not sure the same would happen with wood) and it doesn't fit snugly, the rail will roll and the scarf holder will roll with it - very annoying. I even tried putting some strong double sided tape on the handlebars to keep them from rolling away which helped but still kept moving over time which was more hassle than I wanted to handle.
