My 4.5 year old got these for Christmas and wasn't thrilled after unwrapping them. We sat down with her and our 7 year old to demonstrate it and it really isn't fun. Individual strings are very thin and seem brittle. They don't curve in smooth curves, but rather form sharp corners and need to be changed and adjusted several times. They don't stick without a significant amount of smoothing and smoothing. In the end the kids just wove a few together and used them as pretend twizzlers and stopped playing with them. Pity!
