Works as advertised -
I use Tidal over my home theater desktop. I used HDMI to connect to my TV and then optical out for the receiver as my computer has HDMI out but not optical and the HDMI on my Onkyo is pass-through only. The problem was that I had to turn on the TV to play music. With this splitter I can connect the optics directly to the receiver and listen to noise-free music with or without a television. Exactly what I needed.
