Okay, first they're going to tell you about the HDCP nature of HDMI that's built into the PS3, adding that it's also present on the Xbox. So they tell you that you need to find a way around something that they can't advise you on because it's against the law. Fair enough you go and research, pass the HDCP through the splitter and come back to them saying it still doesn't work. They then say that there is also EDID data that you can't do anything with, that HDCP bypasses are screwed up. So there are obviously no conditions for this thing to be able to receive a video signal from anything HDMI, under any circumstances whatever. Excellent. Let's try a game console from before HDMI, HDCP and EDID. any signal? no They go on to say that you can receive video over HDMI from another computer that outputs over HDMI. It works out? nope So what does this thing actually do? Beats me.
