Review on All-Clad Essentials Small Roaster with Rack, Nonstick Hard Anodized, 11 X 14 inch, Black by Veronica Gonzales

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Well designed heavy duty frying pan/grid - holds up to 15 turkeys

This is a great frying pan/grid. I have American All-Clad D-5 and Copper Core cookware, so I'm familiar with the quality of this brand. I haven't seen or used any of the imported All-Clad ranges — the HA-1, NS-1, or that new Essentials cookware — but they come with the brand's limited lifetime warranty. I was happy to meet this brazier because the one I'm currently using is too big for my current needs. My current pan isn't as heavy and well made as this new one - it's an unnamed brand of stainless steel, but light enough that I don't feel entirely comfortable lifting it out of the oven. with 25# big turkey inside. In addition, the frame was very difficult to clean. I really only use it once or twice a year (Thanksgiving and Christmas) and the rest of the time the shelf was used to organize lids for all my pots and pans. My family has grown and I no longer roast these big birds so this smaller 11" x 14" version will do much better. It will hold up to a 15# turkey, so it may not be suitable for those looking to roast very large birds. This all-clad roaster is quite heavy at over eight pounds, so it can definitely handle a heavy roast. and is constructed of hard-anodized aluminum for years of service. The stainless steel handles are large and comfortable to grip, and they attach very securely to the pan. The extendable grate features tall side handles so the roast can be easily removed from the pan and placed on a cutting board or serving platter. It's also non-stick, as is the inside of the grill, so it's a lot easier to clean than my old griddle. This broiler comes in handy even without the rack for making large batches of lasagna or other baked goods for family gatherings or parties, so I'm sure I'll be using it more often than my original one. an expensive purchase - it's about double what I paid for my old roaster but this one is much better quality, looks very solid (don't worry about lifting it out of the oven or onto the table bring) and looks good too . It arrives beautifully packaged in a gift-friendly box. This brazier definitely exceeds my expectations and I don't think I'll have any problems in the future, but if somehow it doesn't work out I'll update this review.
