I love this hydrator! In terms of size, it's exactly what I need. It keeps the water pouch separate in the main compartment and stays cool for hours. You have room for your wallet/phone, some light snacks like travel mixes or snack bars, keys, a small 1 ounce bottle of sunscreen, I also carry my battery. There are also side pockets where I keep my sanitizer, lip balm and small bandages. I also connect my portable Bluetooth speaker. It is ideal for a pleasant hike of medium difficulty. That way you don't have to lug around a bulky bag. Good support, has a chest strap, fits snugly to the body and does not move. I am very happy with this purchase! When I originally received this bag it somehow failed with a broken buckle on the front chest strap. I contacted the seller and they had great customer service and made sure to send me another backpack right away. In perfect condition this time.
