I thought I couldn't use this because there was a chemical smell when I unpacked it. I washed and rinsed the inside and let it air out for a few days. I haven't had a chance to use it for a walk, but I did use it when I was recently ill. I had to drink lots of fluids and that was great. I didn't have to keep getting up to fill my water bottle, I used CAT instead. Just make sure you put a cap on the end of the tube after drinking or it will spill if you look down. Seems obvious but it's a long drinking tube and it's happened to me a few times.
